Party Sausage rolls.
Feed aprox 4.
Cooking time 30-40 minutes
Ingredients.
2 sheets of ready rolled puff pastry.
6-8 sausages any type, chicken are popular and I have used kangaroo and using skinless sausages makes this recipe even easier
A camp oven or caravan or camper oven
A small round tray to cook the sausage rolls on. Small aluminium pizza trays are ideal
Spray oil for the cooking tray
Yep that’s all
Remove the puff pastry from the fridge or freezer, if frozen allow to thaw, if from the fridge use straight away as cold pastry is easier to handle than warm pastry.
Cut the pastry sheet in half, remove the sausage from its skin and lay along the bottom edge of the pastry generally I need 1 ½ skinned sausages or 2 skinless per sheet of pastry.
Roll the pastry over to encase the sausage making sure the edge of the pastry is tucked underneath , then cut into 2,4 or 6 pieces depending if it’s a snack or a meal and how many people you have to feed.
Place sausage rolls on a spray oiled baking tray and cook in a camp oven or oven at about 180-200 deg for about 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
